Stones Illuminated is the area behind the SxB Gold Room, where Skipping Stones meets the Vault of the Beamcasters. It has 23 puzzles, and the gold room puzzle is the first of them. The table below gives the start of each one in a full solution video, so you can jump straight to the room you are stuck in.

Stones Illuminated puzzle 3. Green beams cross small stone platforms on open water, so every stone you skip also changes what a beam can reach.
Where it is and how to get in
Reach the SxB gold room through Torc (the route is in that guide), then solve the gold room. In The Flying Chungus video the gold room is puzzle 1 and the rest of the area follows from it. On Steam, opening the room is the “Gold SxB” achievement. In Mikan Hako's full playthrough series the area is two videos (#22 and #23), played after Mirrors and Stones and before the first ending.
What to expect
- Stones and beams in the same room. The footage shows stone platforms, lily pads and water together with the coloured beams from the Vault. Our Vault page has the beam colour table, which still applies here.
- Beam colours arrive in a rough order. In the solution video the first green beam is in puzzle 2, violet in puzzle 5, orange in puzzle 8, red in puzzles 18 and 19, yellow in puzzle 21 and cyan in puzzles 22 and 23. If a colour is new to you, you are probably at the start of its run of puzzles.
- Puzzle 6 is the big one. The video splits it into a surface part (5:03) and a below part (11:37), and together they take 10:35 of solution time, about a third of the whole area. Puzzles 9 and 10 are the next longest, at a little over two minutes each.
- Short stretch in the middle. Puzzles 11 to 15 each take under a minute in the video, so a long puzzle is not always followed by another one.

The surface part of puzzle 6. The boat character comments on screen as the puzzle starts: “I warn you, though: you're in for a complex time.”
All puzzles
How to use the table: “Starts at” is the point in the solution video embedded below where that puzzle begins, and “Solution length” is how long the finished solution runs. Puzzle numbers follow the video, which is the order the player solved them in, not a number shown in the game. You can also jump to any of them from the Puzzle Finder.

The below part of puzzle 6. Three violet beams run down the room, each ending at a blue gem holder.

Puzzle 18, where the red beam first shows up. The red blocks sit in the beam's path, so what you push into or out of that line decides the room.
